Lion Scout Awards

What are the requirements for the Cyber Chip for Lions as I can not fine them.

@Bill - There are none.  Cyber Chip is for 1st grade and up at this time.

ARE LION CUBS GOING TO BE ABLE TO EARN BELT LOOPS AT DAY CAMP THIS SUMMER. AS OF NOW, I'VE BEEN TOLD THAT LIONS CAN'T EARN BELT LOOPS.

THE CRITERIA LISTED IN THE LION CUB HANDBOOK FOR EACH ACHIEVEMENT AND ELECTIVE DOESN'T  COVER EVERYTHING NEEDED TO DO TO TO EARN EACH LEVEL. I HAD TO PRINT OUT THE LION ADVENTURE ACHIEVEMENTS AND ELECTIVES FROM THIS PAGE TO TO HAVE A COMPLETE LIST OF REQUIREMENTS.

@Buck - Lions receive stickers when completing adventures, not belt loops.  Lions do not attend day camps.
After scouts complete their kindergarten year, they could transfer into a Tiger den and attend day camp the summer before their first grade year.  

Regarding the adventure requirements, I've found the [Lion Parent and Leader Guidebook] to be quite thorough.  The [Lion Adventure Book] is for the scouts and is just an activity book.

Lions are not allowed to engage in shooting sports, and may not earn the Shooting Sports Award.

Lion Summertime Activity Award:

Is there or has anyone heard anything about a summer activity award for the Lions? I have a Lion (sibling of an older scout) whom attended a pack event in June, July and August. This will earn the other ranks the Summer Activity Pin so I was wondering (hoping) that there is or will be an award of some sorts that BSA plans for the LIONS. Currently, at least on scoutbook, there are no Awards for lions that I see.

@Dave M. - There currently is no Summertime Activity Award pin for Lions.

Based on the following, it appears that Lions are not supposed to be registered until the fall (August or later):

"Can we register Lions for the fall now?

The Lions program starts in August or later. Councils should recruit and register Lions as close to the start time of the program and their den. There is no summer program for Lions. Youth should be recruited close to the time that councils have active programs to deliver to the youth."

I am not aware of any other awards for Lions - just the adventure loops and the Lion rank badge.  This is probably because the Lion program is intended to be an introduction to Cub Scouting.

If the Pack Committee chooses to do so, they could decide to get your son some other kind of recognition (fun patch or pin, etc.) to recognize him for participating during the summer activities.
