Arrow of Light 2 Ceremony

This Ceremony is meant for AoL scouts.

Cubmaster
1 each of Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos Cub Scout
Arrow of Light Award candidates and their parents
Large copy of Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos, and Arrow of Light badges
Arrow of Light awards and certificates

Give script portions to Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos scout before meeting.

Have Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos representatives come on stage. Give each one their large badge.

Cubmaster: The highest rank in Cub Scouting is the Arrow of Light award. There are many steps required to reach this goal. Let's hear from the scouts how it is achieved. First, a Lion.

Lion: I am a Lion. I am learning about Cub Scouts.

Cubmaster: Next, a Tiger.

Tiger: I am a Tiger Scout. During first grade, I searched, discovered, and shared new things with my adult partner and my den.

Cubmaster: Next, a Wolf.

Wolf: I am a Wolf Scout. I have completed lots of adventures in the Wolf scout handbook. I had fun in my den and pack and with my whole family as I earned my Wolf badge during 2nd grade.

Cubmaster: Next, a Bear.

Bear: I am a Bear Scout. I've done dozens of adventures to earn my Bear badge in third grade. My activities were in the areas of God, Country, Family, and Self.

Cubmaster: After Bear, is the Webelos scout.

Webelos: As a Webelos scout, I have started to set my own path in scouting. I have earned adventure pins and I understand more about the ideals of Scouting. I know that Arrow of Light is the last step as a Cub Scout.

Cubmaster: We have ____ Arrow of Light scouts that have earned their Arrow of Light award. Will the following scouts and parents please come forward.
(If there is more than one Arrow of Light Award candidate, he reads other names and asks them to come forward.)
To the parents of each of these scouts, I take great pride in presenting the Arrow of Light Award for you to present to your child, so it can be worn on their scout uniform. The Arrow of Light Award is worn centered below the left shirt pocket - and later on the Scouts BSA uniform.
(Present patches and wait while parents pin them on.)

Cubmaster: These certificates are evidence of the honor you have received.
(Hand out certificates for badges.)

Cubmaster: It has been a pleasure having you fine scouts in this pack. You will soon move on to a Scouts BSA troop and we will miss your leadership here, but we wish you the very best as you continue your scouting trail.
You parents will find additional enjoyment and satisfaction as you go continue scouting with your scout and help with new adventures.
