I am almost 65, and awoke this morning with the melody from this song going through my head. I was extremely happy to be able to find these lyrics online. All I can say is that this song is a wonderful blast from my past.
Thank you for the lyrics that exact wonderful memories of a time gone by!

A bullfrog sittin' on a lilly pad
Gazin' up at the sky...
Lilly pad broke and the frog fell in,
Got water in his eye!
The night was dark and stormy,
the air was full of sleet...
An old man stood out in the storm
his boots were full of feet!

I remember my late mother singing that song at times in the 'Forties and 'Fifties, and the way she finished the refrain was: "How in the heck can I wash my neck with the washpan on the floor?" It still rings around in my head...

The San Francisco Bluegrass Group Windy Hill performed this at the Fraser Valley True North Festival in August. It brought back all sorts of memories for me, but I thought it was somewhat ironic that California is experiencing such a terrible drought and here they are singing about ain't gonna rain.
