Cub Scout Awards

Boy Scout Awards

Ready And Prepared

There are many awards available to cub scouts and boy scouts that often go unearned simply because the leaders are not aware of them. Here you can find requirements and information about the common world conservation award and religious award, as well as less known heritage, emergency preparedness, physical fitness, and other recognitions. Making additional scout awards available to your den or patrol members gives them opportunities to try new things and expand their skills.
Recognition of accomplishments is important to keep the boys involved and advancing in skill and rank. Making the awards meaningful through strict requirement checking and thoughtful presentation ceremonies will improve scout activity and ongoing participation.

Is there an Emergency Preparedness Pin in Cub Scouts?
Webelos Den Leader.
Nov 26, 2012 - Scouter Paul
David - Yes, the award is also for Cub Scouts.  Just read the requirements for the award (linked above) and you'll see that is the case.

When does the Webelo receive his colors?
Nov 16, 2013 - Matt
C.D.- The Webelos Colors are part of the Uniform. Some Packs do purchase them for the scouts. (We do.) Otherwise you may purchase the colors at your local scout shop. However, some Packs have a ceremony for incoming Webelos. The Buffalo Ceremony on this very site would be great for this.

Matt

Is there a form that must be signed by pack officers in order to obtain the actual Bobcat patch?
Nov 17, 2014 - Scouter Paul
@Linda - A completed advancement form is required.
Jan 19, 2015 - sandra devers
Is there an actual work sheet or guidelines for the stations at a Webelos Klondike derby?
Jan 19, 2015 - Scouter Paul
@sandra - No.  A Klondike can be pretty much any winter event - there are no rules, requirements, regulations, ... for what topics or skills are covered at one.  It's up to the imagination of those that put the event together.
But, there is some helpful info at this page.
